Creating a fictional brand for fictional racecars.

Mooncraft is a fictional brand that I use as a testbed for new fonts and design styles, similar to how typographers might have a preferred phrase to test specific combinations of letters.

In my spare time, I do a lot of sim racing. I can trace my entry into graphic design back to creating custom car designs for NASCAR Racing 2003. Since I'm making these designs to race them myself, I feel a deep attachment to how they look and what they say, and using other company logos never feels quite right.

Enter Mooncraft, a brand that I'm able to adapt to be anything I want it to be, whether that's new marks crafted for specific cars or color combinations created to be visible in a crowd. After all, if you can't win all the races, you can at least look good trying.
